Hungary has a very rich historical past. Because of Hungary’s central location it was often in the path of nations who were on the quest for expansion. To protect their large medieval empires Hungarians had to build massive castles to protect themselves. Most of the castles are renewed or strengthen, and waiting for tourist and visitors. Most of them has events, such as concerts and castle days, where visitors can take a look on how people lived and fought in the Middle Ages.
